We were on a tour and this was one of our side excursions. We boarded our open flatbed tour boat in a lovely marina and passed many beautiful houseboats on our way in & out to the Lake. (I wonder if they are vacation or...More

We loved our powerboat experience here but it isn't cheap, there were only two of us and had there been 4 it would have been not quite so bad. Sailing down the top of antelope canyon was amazing, would be good in a kayak as...More

We spent a day on a boat tour of Lake Powell riding through the canyons. The lake is beautiful and it was fun to ride through the canyons and look up at the cliffs. The rocks and sandstone have such beautiful patterns worn into them....More

A fascinating location, although I would personally have preferred that they never built the dam. I think the canyon would have been amazing to explore without all the water. The low water levels have created some interesting challenges for the marinas.

spent 3 nights on a 46' houseboat-my husband knows how to drive a boat-so it wasn't too difficult for him. But if we didn't get a map from the store,we would still be floating around on the lake. It's a lot of work for two...More

We spent 4 days houseboating on Lake Powell. What a great experience. We rented a 46’ Voyager houseboat from the Wahweap Marina, received our orientation, and headed out to explore. FYI: To “anchor” for the night, you beach the craft, dig 3’ deep holes at...More

It's a huge lake with photo ops at every turn. There are many entry points from various marinas. Swimming, kayaking, fishing are available. Boat excursions also.

Ok view of the lake but nothing spectacular. Nice to see water for a change from canyons and rock formations. Dont go out of your way but you can see the lake from the highway.

Lake Powell was formed when the Glen Canyon Dam was built. There are many water based activities available, particularly from the marina area at Wahreap. The desert landscape is lovely to see, particularly the rich colours and the reflections on the water.
