Much to my chagrin, the museum is closed for rennnovation. Were looking to eat lunch downtown Page and kill a few hours looking through historical artifacts, At leastt the Mexican restautrant didn't disappoint us!

We wanted a historical perspective of Page and had heard it was the 50th anniversary of this museum but when we turned up it was closed for renovations! You couldnât make it up.
Why not do the works in the 49th year or the 51st?
We were directed to an office next door which has a gift shop selling $22 mugs with very little about the history of Powell or Page.
A lady there suggested we visit Glen Canyon and buy some of their books! We asked why theyâd chosen now to close the museum, which elicited the priceless reply âYes, itâs unfortunate timingâ.

Decent museum for those who like history of areas. The exhibits were well thought out. Probably geared for 13+ only because there is lots of reading on the history at each exhibit & if you younger one's aren't interested in history-they may get bored. So 3 out of 4 of us enjoyed, but I think my 11 year old son got bored after 15 minutes...as he's not a fan of any history unless it relates to the civil war!

The folks working at the museum were very helpful in suggesting where we should visit in Page. I didn't know that the North Rim was not open yet, so they saved us a few hour road trip. But we'll catch it when it opens on May 15

As the title says.... great place to get local info. Also good to get a historic perspective of Page. It is a small place that combines a visitor center, retail, and the museum which is fee based.

Great displays and well put together. Lots of history of the area and of John Powell. There was a small book store and they also are an information center. It would be good to see this museum expand.

Located in downtown Page, AZ, this museum and tourist info centre should be a first stop. The staff is very helpful in planning your visit to the area. Added greatly to the enjoyment of our trip.
