White Pocket is simply amazing! Every step you take you'll see new colours, shapes & be mind blown!! Getting here is half the fun also! Use a guide & you'll probably get to drive 20 or 30 miles in an ATV...so much fun!! We went with Kanab Tour Co, and did a full day tour with them, starting at 7:30... More

White Pocket is really nice and interesting site created by the nature but... it require a lot of efforts to reach the place, driving along vague gravel/sandi road. Some people are trying to upgrade this place by competing it to "The Wave"! so... I would recommend it for these who are willing to spent this extra efforts and they already... More

We failed to get a pass for The Wave in the online lottery and staying in Page made a 2 hour drive back to Kanab for the walk in lottery impractical. Having read about alternatives,I came across details of White Pockets. We booked with Paria Outpost and Outfitters who took us on a wonderful day trip to this very remote... More

Strangely fascinating place with formations that I've never seen before. Nice alternative if you don't win a permit to "The Wave" - same type of formations and so much more. Otherworldly! The biggest downside is that it's truly a trek to get out there. Don't even think about driving out there if you have a rental car or have no... More

If this was a stand alone trip, I would have given it 5 stars. Since we saw South Coyote Buttes (SCB) right before White Pockets (WP), it made it seem less impressive. SCB had amazing colors and more interesting striations. WP was similar but mostly white and shades of red. You do not need a permit, but you definitely need... More

Had choice of several tour operators for the White Pockets. Grand Circle seemed the most knowledgeable and professional. Our guide Yermo, was tremendous. A walking encyclopedia. He made sure we missed nothing. Will use them again next year. White Pockets is worth every penny. Other worldly is the best way to describe it. Recommend highly.

We visited White Pocket on a combined trip to South Coyote Buttes. You do need a permit for SCB, not for WP. Because of the remoteness and lack of 4DW-skills and car, we hired a guide. Susan from Paria Outpost was amazing (see my review of South Coyote Buttes). From SCB (which is ~1.5 hours from the main road), it... More

I would not have known to visit this place had it not been for the Grand Staircase Discovery Tours company, which we used to tour the area. I am so glad they tipped us off to this location and guided us on a several-hour hike as it is a truly magnificent experience. The various white, red, and yellow rock formations... More

Unlike most visitors we didn't have a fund to pay for a tour guide or join any tour group. We drove and explored the place with six years old. Before you go to this place, go to Kanab visitor center to get the latest road and weather condition. Don't go to St George, UT Field Office like some suggested. They... More
