Colorado River Discovery offers the most fantastic one day rafting trips...

Colorado River Discovery offers the most fantastic one day rafting trips anywhere on the mighty Colorado River. We provide half-day and full day tours that are perfect for the entire family (kids aged 4 and up). Departing from the scenic town of Page, Arizona, your trip will begin with an exciting and exclusive ride down the two-mile long Glen Canyon Dam access tunnel. At river level, with the dam soaring 700 feet above you, you will board a comfortable pontoon raft for your journey downstream. While on the River, you will experience one of the most dramatic stretches of river in the western United States. Your experienced guide will tell the story of the area’s soaring sandstone cliffs, crystal blue-green waters, abundant wildlife, exploration by Major John Wesley Powell and others, and the river's modern role in the Southwest’s water and power delivery system.A stop to view an impressive set of ancient petroglyphs will offer a you chance to stretch your legs and enjoy your lunch while bearing witness to the area’s former inhabitance by ancient native cultures. If you choose, you may also refresh yourself by wading in the cold, clear river. Come and visit the river that we love... You'll be inspired!

It was smooth water and was really enjoyable. The weather was amazing and our guide was wonderful. He really made the trip nice. Went all the way through Horseshoe Bend. The stop along the way was pleasant too. Simple, but breathtaking. Suggest getting lunch at Subway and take it with you in a clear bag. You will almost definitely not... More

We were looking for a float trip on the colorado in Grand Canyon but came upon this company. The float trip is on the Colorado river but not in the grand canyon. BUT, you are in a canyon and it's BEAUTIFUL. The float trip begins at the Glen Canyon Dam that created Lake Powell. You stop once at a river... More

Good trip, nice scenery, good guide, very mellow, very overpriced for what it is. They are simply taking advantage of being the only company doing this and overcharging for what you get..$112/person is not worth it.. they're grossing ~$2500 per raft/boat with minimal expenses. My friends and I agreed $50-60 would be more reasonable for what this trip entailed

Hi, Thank you for your review. We certainly respect the fact that everyone is entitled to their opinion. We appreciate positive and not so positive reviews, as this is a fantastic barometer for improvement. I will not get into the "cost of doing business" for our company on trip advisor, but, I hope that fond memories of your boat ride,... More

My wife and I did the half-day trip on a beautiful fall Saturday. Erin, our guide, was very informative and just a pleasure. It is not hard to tell that she loves her job and sharing her knowledge with her guests. The scenery is stunning, This trip is a must do if you are anywhere close to the area. Thank... More

We did the half day raft trip on a beautiful fall day. Our guide Brad made the outing informative and relaxing - his guitar selections added to the trip as well. A beautiful part of the world, definitely worth experiencing!

Wonderful activity for ALL ages. Scenery that words cannot describe. An absolute must if you are anywhere near the Grand Canyon, especially the Glen Canyon Dam, Lake Powell, and Page, Arizona. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

We went on the rowing raft tour down Glen Canyon. At the beginning there is a 30 minute ride to the start, at the end a 90 minute coach ride back. The Tour itself takes around 4 hours. Our guide was Jaylin and he was excellent, we learned a lot about the canyon and the Navajo reservation. It was amazing... More

We really loved our raft trip. Our guide was knowledgeable, the raft was comfortable. I would recommend the full day trip, not the half-day trip. It's not a lot more. It's well worth it for a view of the Colorado river that most people don't get. Two very minor complaints. 1) They give you a bunch of information about time... More

This was an interesting way to see the Canyon. After days of hiking down into the canyon starting from the rim and always searching for a peak of the Colorado, the half day rafting tour put us right on the Colorado for a unique perspective. The views from the water are totally different than from up above. Our guide was... More
