Description:

Colorado River Discovery offers the most fantastic one day rafting trips...

Colorado River Discovery offers the most fantastic one day rafting trips anywhere on the mighty Colorado River. We provide half-day and full day tours that are perfect for the entire family (kids aged 4 and up). Departing from the scenic town of Page, Arizona, your trip will begin with an exciting and exclusive ride down the two-mile long Glen Canyon Dam access tunnel. At river level, with the dam soaring 700 feet above you, you will board a comfortable pontoon raft for your journey downstream. While on the River, you will experience one of the most dramatic stretches of river in the western United States. Your experienced guide will tell the story of the area’s soaring sandstone cliffs, crystal blue-green waters, abundant wildlife, exploration by Major John Wesley Powell and others, and the river's modern role in the Southwest’s water and power delivery system.A stop to view an impressive set of ancient petroglyphs will offer a you chance to stretch your legs and enjoy your lunch while bearing witness to the area’s former inhabitance by ancient native cultures. If you choose, you may also refresh yourself by wading in the cold, clear river. Come and visit the river that we love... You'll be inspired!

Wife, son and I took all day raft trip down river to Lee's Ferry. Cool weather and windy that day, but it was well worth it. very comfortable seating on raft (about 20 people) and our guide was a hoot. Knowledgable and really into the whole river rafting thing. Kept us entertained and safe. Would do this again.

Our trip started with a 2 mile bus ride through a tunnel to get to the bottom of the Glen Canyon Dam. We loaded onto our boat at the dam. Our very knowledgeable guide, Martin, was funny, charming and very entertaining. He seemed to have an answer for every question we might have had. Many interesting facts, lots of information.... We took the float trip down the Colorado River. Our guide was fabulous. I think his name was Brett. He provides great information and had a great sense of humor. It was interesting to see the Canyon falls from below.

Reviewing this particular full day trip: Full day canyon motor tour. We left at 10am and came back at 3:30. About 1.5 hours is in the bus so time on the water was about 4 hours. The views were really good and gave great perspective from below but the trip felt like a tourist trap. Would recommend this trip for... More

Really enjoyed our river float trip and unbelievable views looking up to the top of the rim from the Colorado River. Very safe and you don't get wet. Spectacular photos from this vantage point.

We rafted on a beautiful sunny day in October. The tunnel ride down to the river is pretty cool and the rafts are comfortable and suitable for any age. Its a fairly uneventful trip just drifting down the river and learning about history of the area with two short stops at little sandy beaches where you can also swim but... More

Our guide Jerrod was very personable and knowledgeable about glen canyon and the Colorado River. He shared a lot of great stories, history and insight about every aspect of the tour. I highly recommend the Colorado River tour (half day or full day)!
