Colorado River Discovery offers the most fantastic one day rafting trips...

Colorado River Discovery offers the most fantastic one day rafting trips anywhere on the mighty Colorado River. We provide half-day and full day tours that are perfect for the entire family (kids aged 4 and up). Departing from the scenic town of Page, Arizona, your trip will begin with an exciting and exclusive ride down the two-mile long Glen Canyon Dam access tunnel. At river level, with the dam soaring 700 feet above you, you will board a comfortable pontoon raft for your journey downstream. While on the River, you will experience one of the most dramatic stretches of river in the western United States. Your experienced guide will tell the story of the area’s soaring sandstone cliffs, crystal blue-green waters, abundant wildlife, exploration by Major John Wesley Powell and others, and the river's modern role in the Southwest’s water and power delivery system.A stop to view an impressive set of ancient petroglyphs will offer a you chance to stretch your legs and enjoy your lunch while bearing witness to the area’s former inhabitance by ancient native cultures. If you choose, you may also refresh yourself by wading in the cold, clear river. Come and visit the river that we love... You'll be inspired!

Reviewing this particular full day trip: Full day canyon motor tour. We left at 10am and came back at 3:30. About 1.5 hours is in the bus so time on the water was about 4 hours. The views were really good and gave great perspective from below but the trip felt like a tourist trap. Would recommend this trip for... More

Really enjoyed our river float trip and unbelievable views looking up to the top of the rim from the Colorado River. Very safe and you don't get wet. Spectacular photos from this vantage point.

We rafted on a beautiful sunny day in October. The tunnel ride down to the river is pretty cool and the rafts are comfortable and suitable for any age. Its a fairly uneventful trip just drifting down the river and learning about history of the area with two short stops at little sandy beaches where you can also swim but... More

Our guide Jerrod was very personable and knowledgeable about glen canyon and the Colorado River. He shared a lot of great stories, history and insight about every aspect of the tour. I highly recommend the Colorado River tour (half day or full day)!

Had a great trip with Colorado River Discovery. A leisurely float down the river that took us round Horseshoe Bend and under motor on the way back. Great guide and the bistro lunch bags we ordered where delicious. Would highly recommend them,

Our pilots' group flies into Page every year in October for several days of flying together and other activities. One highlight is our group raft float trip with Colorado River Discovery. We have organized and done this trip many times over the past years of our fly-in. However, this year's trip was exceptional in one major way..."Dave", our guide! The... More

This was my second trip down the Colorado River with Colorado River Discovery. This time we took our kids and grandkids (6 & 12 years old). We did the 1/2 day trip. After the bus ride through the tunnel used to build Glen Canyon Dam, we boarded the pontoon raft for a pleasant, quiet and beautiful trip down river. Our... More

We took the half day gentle float down and motor back tour, boarding our raft near the Glen Canyon dam. We floated down the Colorado, in wonder at the canyon walls soaring 1000ft, went round Horseshoe Bend, made a brief stop to stretch our legs, and some paddled, then motored back. The day was a bit grey but our guide... More
