Devils Kettle Falls are interesting and beautiful but not for the faint of heart. There are many steps, up and down, but are worth it. Take plenty of water if you plan to do the hike.

I think both hikes are about the same. The hike at Judge CR Magney is steep, but the stairs are well built and sturdy. If you don't have trouble with steps and take your time, you should be fine.
