Bokor Mountain had a French Hill station in the 1920s and the remnant church and accommodation building are very atmospheric. The pagoda is also great and there are good views to the coast. The Chinese have built a casino, a mega hotel and are building...More

Not as atmospheric as I had hoped as the ruined casino is mid refurb. But great dramatic views to the sea and islands

I was looking forward to a trip to see this abandoned French casino but was a little disappointed. It is currently under renovation so you cannot actually go inside. It was a very sunny day, which is nice, but as an amateur photographer I was...More

The ride to bokor is uphill and the roads are in good condition. The place is maintained well and there are many places like old church, casino and Popokvil Waterfall to explore

Over the past 15 years I have visited Bokor Hill Station on three occasions and each time has been a bit different. It might be just a deserted old hotel/casino, but it is eerie, particularly when the sea mist runs up the cliff and envelopes...More

We rented a motorcycle from our hotel and had a really fun ride up there (first time on a motorcycle). The drive up was great, very windy with a few waterfalls on the way. Quiet roads when we went (mid to late October) so a...More

I didn't get the while atmosphere thing that people talk about when coming here, lovely view but wish we'd done something else with our time instead of trekking up there.

Probably best to stay in Kampot and make it a day trip from there. The bus PP to Kampot is 4.5 hours one way and the ride up to Bokor is another hour, so you'd spend 9 hours in a bus if such a day tour even exists
