Very beautiful, less crowded..a place to cherish. A must visit if you are nearby. Only 1 flip side i believe is lack of good restaurants near beach side. The background setting of coconut trees adds superb beauty. Lot of homestays and Resorts are nearby.

As this probably my tenth visit here no words are necessary. The area is wonderfully peaceful and beautiful. Accommodation spacious and comfortable. Need to mention staff commitment to making your stay memorable. For instance Arun on front desk, a mine of information, quiet professionalism and a sharp eye on less experienced staff. New intern Basil working so hard to please and... More

This is really an excellent beach-really a shame that it was badly maintained-lot of litter all around strewn by the tourists & the local fishermen-both converging at the same place. Would be better if tourists have a seperate place and fishing was carried out at a different place.

Nice beach to come and relax. The coconut trees lined at the beach at lovely to watch. We went during monsoon and the waves at the beach were very strong making it unsafe for swim.

Marari Beach is so beautifully unspoilt and you'll see more fishermen and local children playing here than tourists. The sand seemingly goes on for miles in both directions and colourful fishing boats line the shore. How I imagine Goa used to be before tourism swallowed it up!

If you're visiting Alappuzha for a houseboat experience, make sure you stay a couple of nights on Marari beach. We stayed at Marari John's Beach Homestay for two nights in early January, which was absolutely amazing. Marari beach is is very peaceful beach, where there's plenty of room to sunbath. The sea is really clean here and much nicer than... More

We visited this beach with high hopes due to overall dirtiness in India, but this beach was dirty too, color of sea was grey, nothing special to do on the beach. No restaurants, bars, outlet only for locals. Visit only when seen everything else.
