President Harry S Truman took America from its traditional isolationism into the age of international involvement. Despite his power, he never forgot where he came from. Today, visitors can experience the surroundings Truman knew as a young man of modest ambition through his political career and final years as a former president.

We had a wonderful tour through this old house, which is in pretty good shape, considering how old it is. We learned much about Truman, his family and the times he lived in.

Ranger who took us through the house, obviously loved his job, there was not much that he didn't tell us about the history of the Truman's and the house.

It was a pretty home on the outside. I would have loved to have been able to go inside.I was surprised to learn that you could not go in.

The house has been well preserved since the President and Mrs Truman passed. Lots of history within and was impressed with the National Parks team knowledge of President Truman's home and grounds

It was so much fun to learn about this president that I just barely remember. I was so impressed by the docent that I bought a couple of books about this man's days in the White House, and he and Bess's return to a simple...More

We stayed at an RV park. A person could google for that information.
