Went for a drive to Fleming park to see the Bison and Elk - we were not disappointed. Beautiful to see such majestic creatures up close. We brought a few bags of carrots - which were much appreciated ( no feeding bread signage around ).

Love taking our grandson here. He loves the play area and there are places for us old folks to sit. Plus, there are trails for walking. Views are beautiful. Such a great park.

Great place within Fleming park to hit the water. Boat rentals and a marina all right there. Try to go during the week to have the place to yourself.

One of the most unique aspects of this park is the Hoofed Animal Enclosure, which features herds of buffalo and elk in separate paddocks. You can walk up to the tall chain-linked fence and feed whatever animals will come to see what you’ve got for...More

Fleming Park is part of the Jackson County, Missouri Parks system. We spent a few days there with full hook-ups so we could visit family and friends in Kansas City. There aren't a huge number of FHU sites, so reservations are recommended. Primitive camping is...More

There is so much to do at Fleming Park and Lake Jacomo. We enjoy hiking on the many trails but wished they were better marked. We also keep our pontoon boat onthe lake and it is a very relaxing way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

Great place for walking, hiking, biking or just relaxing. Saw a bald eagle and mate flying in search of food.

We like full hook up and those sites are limited. Some sites not very level for longer rigs. The space between sites was good which allowed some privacy. The sewer connection was elevated so drainage was difficult. All in all we like it here and...More
