Very nice temple to visit with lovely gardens. Can get busy especially in regard to parking but worth it. Very scenic. Small entrance fee, but much larger than we expected.

I came here, via private driver, on a Monday in mid-December 2022. There is a fee to enter and to use the restroom. Entrance was 75,000Rp and the restroom was 2,000Rp.
The grounds was pretty big with a beautiful garden. Don't miss the floating Hindu Temple. We came during their harvest festival so everything was decorated beautifully.
There are restaurants inside, a playground for kids, as well as boat/water activity rentals. The lawns were beautifully manicured. Definitely worth a trip out her to visit.

This Hindu temple set on Lake Beratan is a famous Instagram photo op and is featured on the 50,000 Rupiah note. The scenery is gorgeous and the grounds are well-maintained with tropical flowers and plants. The reason for only 4 stars is due to the commercialism like "tacky" Disneyland-type colorful cement animals. It is a popular place and crowded. We saw a lot of eating areas and places to rest. Our tour guide said we could ride the boats in the lake for an additional fee. I believe the entrance fee to the temple was about 50,000 rupiah and they do take credit cards.

The gardens were beautiful and the temple on the water looked pretty but the area near the lake was very commercial with pink swan pedalo’s you could hire which were more in keeping with Skegness than Bali. My least favourite of the beautiful things in Bali we have seen

75k entrance which is more than most temples around Bali. Very different from other temples, it has more of a “national trust” feel about it. Temple, coffee? Restaurant, gardens, kids areas etc.
Additional things you can do there for more money - e.g photo spots, petting zoo, owls etc.
The area is pretty and we had a nice time but it is a trek from the areas most tourists stay in so if travelling this way I would plan other activities to go alongside. I wouldn’t travel all this way for just this

This temple and place looks fantastic with water and mountains. We have been to many lakes/ rivers near to mountains across the globe, but this place takes the piece of the cake. Very picturesque. It was a bit cloudy at both the times we went here and it added to the beauty. Definitely recommend visiting this place even though it is a bit far from both Ubud and Seminyak/Kuta

Really a good place to spend quality time over there. Keep extra time to enjoy the weather and surroundings. It may need half day of your trip. Plan accordingly.

The entry costs 75k rupiah (aprox 5eu) per person, which is quite expensive compared to others.
When you enter, the first thing you see is a restaurant and a kids park with swings and places to play.
The temple itself is very beautiful, but has more of park than of themple, many restaurants and stupid stuff to take pictures with, like big frogs smiling, princess castle, big hearts...also a rabbit farm and some birds...more like disneyland than a holy place.
At least the gardens are also beautiful.

Hi! Is it possible to go to this temple by grab or gojek bike and also is it possible to get back with the same service while returning from there?

Better get a car rental for a day, its hassle free and no need to worry for your ride.. we only took grab on nearby places in ubud.
Grab is not allowed in some places. Also local taxis are against them.

Thanks in advance !!!

Yes.. they charge foreigners.. per ticket cost is 50,000 IDR. Not sure about the taxi fare but it might be costly as ulun bratan temple is in the hills, quite far from the city. But I am not sure about the fare.
Do I have to visit the temple with a guide/tour or is it possible doing it by myself? And if that’s possible, is there any entry quote ?

If you have a tour program to the Ulundanu temple..you may not use the guide and the entry quote it is certain
Ciao, per visitare i templi bisogna per forza farlo con un tour o si può fare anche per conto proprio? E se si fa senza tour bisogna pagare qualche ingresso ?

Puoi farlo in autonomia tranquillamente. Quasi tutti i templi più famosi sono a pagamento ma sono cifre irrisorie.. una manciata di euro per intenderci ..

How much would you expect to pay for a boat trip around the lake? I'm hoping to visit in a few days first thing to avoid the crowds

How did you get from Seminyak to the Temple? Is it reasonably safe to hire a car ?
Andrew
Phnom Penh, Cambodia637 contributions
I wouldn’t hire a car. The roads are pretty choked and can be dangerous if you don’t know where you’re going.
Easiest thing to do is hire a private taxi for the day. R100k/hour is the standard rate which you can arrange through your hotel/guesthouse.
Better yet, contact the guy we used. Dewa.

If you’re staying in Seminyak though and you are going out touring for the day, just make sure you’re back well before dark. The roads around there get completely jammed with tour buses etc. in the evening. It can take over two hours just to get back into Seminyak from Tanah Lot, for example. Hope this helps and have a great holiday.

hello, what is the opening and closing time for this park?

There is no particular time for this temple.. the temple's inner round may have time which is not displayed outside., but the other areas are open throughout.
Can I do any kind of worship or puja inside the temple?

there were quite a number of visitors - all taking pictures- But there are quiet places within the grounds . Also there seemed to be a part that was closed off – so you may be able to worship there assuming You have the right form of dress. Hope that helps
