This park has the river on it's edge. Nice playground equipment and also frisbee golf. Great place for photos to take for graduation/wedding/child/family. Has camping facilities (which I believe needs to be paid for at the city offices) and a nice large covered area for larger outdoor parties such as family reunions/get togethers, graduations or the like. Can walk the... More

Headed out for long trip North avoiding Midwest heat. In Beatrice to visit Homestead National Monument. City campground first come first served. Arrived on Monday, found perfect site for our situation. Very clean, level pad, full hook ups. Quiet peaceful campground. Met the manager. He was welcoming and offered great suggestions for local restaurants. This is a well run campground... More

For a small town park, it had lots of trails, open spaces & shelters. We enjoyed our walks around it. However, bathrooms provided for the RV site holders (us), were filthy, with clogged toilets & inadequate "hot showers" maybe Bc all the city does is collect the fees but they don't bother to check the bathroom facilities.

Beautiful and quite. Liked everything about it.....nice rv sites and close to downtown. The price was great too, just $18.00 per night.

Chautauqua Park is a nice, clean park located in the south part of Beatrice along HWY 77. I always enjoy walking my dog along the trail that runs throughout the park and through toward the west side of Beatrice along the Big Blue River. I have noticed a few tree limbs down most of the time and trees that need... More

Chautauqua Park, located on the south side of the Big Blue River in Beatrice, NE is the site of the historic Chautauqua "Tabernacle" that is a great covered picnic area available for large and small groups. The hiking trail through Beatrice has its "trailhead" here. You will find playground equipment for children. The paved camping pads are shaded for your... More

I love how the park is laid out. No matter which shelter you are at you can still see all areas of the playground. I like that the parking is farther away (less chance of accidents involving kids that are playing) and all 4 kids loved the tank!

The kids love this park. Plenty of room to run and play, as well as two different playground areas, a duck pond, small waterfall area, picnic shelters and a tabernacle for large groups. The shelters and tabernacle require reservations but they are very cheap to reserve. Nice park and well maintained.
