This is one of the places one must not miss. Its very beautiful peaceful and holy place. One can see the natural formation of the image of sleeping lord Hanumanji exactly on the hills facing the Temple. There is a school in the vicinity and on sundays , one can hear the kids singing.

Good location and settings. Nice walk up to the temple. Well looked after. Many Hindus will visit this place as it has a relationship of the Ramayana Epic.

This is a 16 year old temple maintained by Chinmaya Mission. It is a beautiful location with wonderful skyline. There is a vegetarian restaurant next to it. The temple has fixed timings. The steps are steep.

The road up to the temple is scarily steep, but the view is perfection and the Hanuman inside the temple is at least 2 storeys tall. Great vegetarian restaurant as well.

One of the famous tourist attraction of Indian travelers. Situated on hills. Tuktuk takes 300 Shrilankan Rupees to take you there. Also walkable though not advisable for elders. Very divine experience.

The view from the temple is spectacular and worth visiting even if one is not religious. The decor in the temple is nothing great. The toilet facilities both for men and women are probably the worst we saw during our week long trip in Sri Lanka. The Chinmaya trust that maintains the temple should take urgent action on this

This is a temple maintained by the Chinmaya mission. Neat and clean with vegetarian food being served in nearby canteen. Huge statue of Hanuman. Splendid views of the valley.

Great view and very quiet ambiance. Situated on the hillock and right opposite is another hill which looks (shape of the hilltop) like as if Hanuman is sleeping. Chinamaya mission is managing this temple and are selling a book & DVD on 44 Hindu sites in Srilanka. There are retail and food stalls outside the temple.

The Shri Baktha Hanuman Temple is another must visit place for those who are interested and are following the Ramayana. Beautifully situated on a hill, the temple itself is beautiful. Enjoy the scenery surrounding the temple too. It is said in the Ramayan and also we hear from folklore that Ramboda was an area Lord Hanuman frequented when he was... More
