You can hike or drive up to Hot Springs Mountain via the Scenic drive located on Central Avenue. There is a pull off a short way up at Mountain Tower that has a wonderful picnic area. Continue up the scenic road to the North Mountain Overlook. There are trails that you can pick up there for hiking as well. Nice... More

We drove up instead of hiking, but it was a lovely drive. The views were gorgeous, even on a cloudy day. Driving up the mountain is free, and everyone who visits Hot Springs should do it, even if they skip the tower.

If you want a great view of the area then this is where you should go. The road up winds around the mountain and only has a couple of places to get a nice view. The tower lets you see the surrounding area either from the enclosed glass floor or the top floor. It was cold the day we visited... More

Take your time. Utilize the pull overs. Stop and walk, or take pictures. Love taking the drive anytime we are in Hot Springs.

We drove up the mountain after touring downtown Hot Springs all afternoon, hoping to see a nice sunset from the top. The road is nicely paved, though I was a little freaked out at how narrow and curvy it was until I realized it was one-way traffic only. A few people were walking up the hill, but it's probably more... More

The drive up to the tower was awesome. Be sure and take all the loops. The view from the top of the tower was great. The wind was blowing a gale. Reading the history was informational. They also give a military discount which makes it very affordable.

The drive to the tower and stopping at the lookout is worth doing. The trip up the tower is not. Overpriced for what it is. Gift shop is too pricy for same reason.

Absolutely a breath taking view. We enjoyed taking our Children and Grand children to this attraction. Be sure and request any discounts i.e. Senior or military that you might qualify for. You can also purchase a national park pass if you will return or will be attending additional national parks. We rode elevator up and down. My son in law... More

I hiked the short (but somewhat steep) hike from downtown to the tower this past weekend. The cost to use the elevator was $7 per person. There is a really nice gift shop there where you buy your elevator token. The shop has lots of National Park t-shirts, posters, hats and other tourist type gifts. The view from the tower... More
