Big city performance venue in mid-size Madison

Overture Hall is international caliber! Smaller theatres unique and comfortable. Wide variety of performances offered. Lovely gift shop. Small Contemporary art museum.

Just saw a performance of the Madison Symphony Orchestra at the Overture Center. The winter art fair is coming up soon, and there will be lots of other performances this winter and spring. What a wonderful place to visit in the midst of winter! Check out the website.

Just saw Joan Baez in the Capitol Theater. Wonderful, great environment, perfect acoustics, and the woman can still sing it like she's 25 !! The negative? Only that the majority of the crowd seemed to think they were attending the performance of a string quartet! Come on people, this woman is an icon! An aging politically liberal activist and great... Beautiful venue, the balcony is a little nauseating, it feels like I'm tipping forward, but I love that no matter where you sit - even in the highest tier - you can still see perfectly fine! Really enjoy going here.

Took in a performance by the band "Chicago" and have been singing ever since~ Such a great venue to enjoy great music! The sound was great and we were able to see each of the members perform. Our seats were not on the main floor which may have added to the experience. The wine is quite expensive for the pour... More

his review is for a wedding done this past weekend. I wanted to highlight a few people that went above and beyond for the happy couple. Christina was our event manager all day long and she was phenomenal. She was on top of every detail and was always friendly and available. She made our lives so much easier and I... More

Feel so blessed to have this great Center in our community. The shows here are top notch, the seats are comfortable, and the people who work here are amazingly helpful and friendly. Great variety of entertainment - something for everyone - and prices are reasonable as compared to Chicago, Boston, and New York for the same quality of performance. Parking... More

I have been twice recently, once to see Gordon Lightfoot and once to see Diana Ross. The smaller theater, where Lightfoot played, had small seats and was difficult for my mother to navigate with her arthritis. Lots of stairs or walking back and forth for the few elevators. Acoustics were good. Staff kept walking around during the performance and telling... More

I have attended numerous performances and functions at this venue and always left impressed at how impressive it is in design and scope. Parking can be a bit of a concern so if you are going for a specific time and performance, allow yourself plenty of time to find one of the local parking garages and don't loose your ticket... More

This is a wonderful place to watch a play or attend a concert. All genres of the performing arts are offered throughout the year. All are top notch. My concern is those seated in the center of a row would have a difficulty exiting if there was an emergency. Purchase a ticket near an aisle.

Thank Tom M
