I was actually surprised how well kept everything was. The animals actually seemed happy and very well taken care of. Been to San Diego zoo but this seemed so much better and laid out better

This is a very nice zoo, it has open spaces for the animals rather than cages. This is a great place to explore, with or without kids, although kids would love it there.

Was surprised how few animals they really have. Long walks between everything and frustrating because very few signs to direct you to the exhibits. Boring presentation.

Mummy can we go pet the goats now...pleeeeez! The giraffes and elephants and camel rides ae never enough we just have to visit the petting zoo. Childhood in New Orleans this is what it's about!

Not that I am aware of. There are various places like the visitor center that could tell you for sure.

We stayed Uptown in an Airbnb house. I prefer the extra room as compared to a hotel. Main drawback is a short bus or streetcar ride needed to the French Quarter, so you have to do a little more planning and time management... More

Almost every zoo I have ever visited on a Holiday weekend has been very crowded with both kids & adults.
