Ride with us at Confederacy of Cruisers, New Orleans original and oldest...

Ride with us at Confederacy of Cruisers, New Orleans original and oldest bike tour company. Going on 10 years of great tours and great customers keeping us feeling like the luckiest folks in New Orleans every day when we come to work. The tour that started them all and our others, the Culinary, the History of Drinking and our combined Pedal to Paddle with our friends at Kayakityat.

New Orleans is so more than the French Quarter and we want to show you what most visitors don't get to experience. The heart of our city is seen through its other historic neighborhoods on the Creole side of Town, the beautiful Faubourg Marignyand Bywater; and there is no better way to explore them than with New Orleans' original bicycle tour company. Join us as we take you for a bike ride around the old streets and tell you the stories of the New Orleans that most tourists miss. The ride is relaxed, with plenty of time to ask questions, and a stop along the way at a neighborhood bar where you can find out all you want about local life while drinking a delicious Bloody Mary, if you like (water or nothing are also fine choices). For those who want to delve a little deeper, we offer a tasty Neighborhood Culinary Tour and a Historic Drinking Tour (where you get to indulge as you learn), all travelling through our our city like the locals do, on easy to ride classic cruiser bicycles. One speed, slow.

Great tour; Victor has amazing knowledge, we certainly learnt more than we expected to about the history of food in the south. Victor built the tour around places he thought we'd enjoy...he was right! A great day! Thanks Victor!

My husband and I took the Confederacy of Cruisers culinary bike tour while on a weekend in New Orleans. Victor, the tour guide, was knowledgeable in New Orleans food history and the culture. It was a fantastic way to see the city, taste the amazing food and enjoy the weather. I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting New Orleans.

Taking this bike tour was the first thing I did in New Orleans. We covered a lot of ground at an easy pace and I learned quite a bit along the way. Derek was really helpful and suggested some must-see spots for the rest of my short trip. Highly recommended!

Had a great day eating and exploring New Orleans by bike! Victor was an awesome guide, very informative and fun to be around. He shared knowledge on both the food and history of the city. And, he even gave us great recommendations for fine dining later in our trip. Would definitely recommend this tour - your bellies will thank you!

We received prompt responses to our booking enquiries and they willingly moved our tour a day earlier when rain was forecast for the day of our original booking. My positive impression was reinforced when I saw from the booking confirmation that no deposit was required, just the payment at the end of the tour. At the designated time we met... More

The. Best. Time!!!! Cannot begin to express how much fun we had with Kassidy on the NOLA Culinary Tour! The scenery was beautiful and the food was beyond delicious! We learned so much about New Orleans AND you get a good amount of food! We hope to come back to the Big Easy again (when it is warmer) and will... More

Staying in Faubourg Marigny & Bywater

Neighbourhood Profile
Faubourg Marigny & Bywater
Nestled between the French Quarter and the Ninth Ward, the Faubourg Marigny & Bywater environs are largely residential. Of course, folks around here love to go out and have a good time as much as they do anywhere in NOLA. And if out-of-towners want to join in the festivities, well then so much the better! Home to some of the most revered live music venues in New Orleans, an eclectic gaggle of gourmand dining destinations, and a come-as-you-are vibe that’s as infectious as it is alluring, this is real deal New Orleans oozing with southern hospitality and the promise of a most epic night out. For endless opportunities to boogie, to admire row upon row of lovingly restored homes, and to escape the fray of the more touristic parts of town (but still live it up in grand style) head to Faubourg Marigny & Bywater.
