Enjoyed visiting the area and learning from the tour guides. The only down fall is I felt rushed and unable to take the photos I wanted.

Our tour of St. Louis Cemetery No. 1 was great. Our guide was Judy Geddes Bajoie. She is a native of New Orleans and a former history teacher. Judy not only told us all about this cemetery but she was a wealth of information about...More

My family & I took a French Quarter carriage tour that included a stop and guided walk-through of St. Louis Cemetery No. 1. This Catholic burial ground is on the edge of the Quarter, but only accessible as part of a fee-based guided tour. The...More

I've seen pictures of the New Orleans cemeteries all my life, but seeing this one in person was a great experience. We saw this one as part of our carriage tour (Royal Carriages). Our tour guide, Michelle, was very knowledgeable and made it a fun...More

The day was hot and there is no air circulating behind those walls. The tour guide was not very good and seemed to be interested in only 2-3 tombs and that is all we saw. Just not the tour I was expecting and was disappointed...More

So much history here. Definitely take a tour and learn about what makes New Orleans so unique. It is such a shame what vandals have done but from our tour guide it sounds like the town is coming together to preserve its legacy.

We took the tour of St. Louis Cemetery No.1 and 2 on a hot and humid sunny day. It is surprising to learn that the municipality then moved the No.1 back by about 50 feet to give way for the Canal. Tombs with perpetual care...More

We had a tour guide who provided a wealth of info about not only the cemetery, but history of the city and it's inhabitants going back centuries. A worth while 2 hours.

There are many cemeteries in NOLA most of which can be seen for free, but not this one! I visited as part of a tour, which I recommend to get the most out of your trip. Otherwise you are looking at a lot of crypts...More

Trip advisor had a great selection of tours which we chose the free walking tours which had them every day. You paid what you felt the tour was worth and paid $2 per person for entrance into the cemetery.

It varies. There are different tour companies that offer tours. The cemetery itself does not hold them. I did a search for cemetery tours in NOLA and found mine. I also found a Groupon for it, so check there before making... More
