If you are looking for really good NO Jazz and a good time, make sure you include this one in the French Quarter. We were there one evening and loved it. ❤️ We told our wait person we would... More

For those who appreciate the jazz of Dixie and improvised solos, Maison Bourbon is the place to go.Wife and I visited NOLA in early January and it was her first visit to the Big Easy. We found the servers pleasant and the crowd not rowdy. Music by Phil Campo and his band was outstanding. It was a joy to hear... More

A very casual club… just walk in off the street and pull up a wobbly stool or table and enjoy. They seem to rotate bands every set. The first band that drew me off the street was somewhat 'rough' but amazingly authentic and they were having fun. The second band was more polished…. but seemed to have less heart. Just... More

My overpriced bourbon was watered down ... I was afraid to pay by credit card lest the Visa might get some fraud charges ... we were stacked on top of another out-of-down couple in a table designed for 2 and seating 6 ... and yet we loved it! This place has an old-club feel with fantastic musicians playing mostly dixie-style... More

What a special treat to end up stumbling on. The New Orleans Graduates were playing and they rocked it. There is a one drink minimum which is standard, the drink are a little pricey but I didnt mind since we were having so much listening to the band! As most places on Bourbon, the bathrooms are gross but overall we... More

Bourbon Street is now lined with the likes of old time bars, gentlemen's clubs and shot and beer joints. Maison Bourbon is a shot and beer place graced with a stage of highly talented jazz musicians each night. Over a span of 15 years my husband and I have come to NOLA for business each year and we make an... More

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
