This is a great way to get out of the city and see and learn some Louisiana history. The driver picks you up at your hotel and then engages you with fun facts and roadside attractions on your way to the plantation. We chose the all-day adventure that included the Oak Alley and Laura Plantations followed by lunch and a... More

The tour guide "Madison" was exceptional, and very friendly. He made the 90 minutes bus ride a pleasure with plenty of explanations and history. We highly recommend. and ask for Madison.

Madison picked up us at our hotel and warmly welcomed us aboard. He immediately included us in the ongoing conversation with the other passengers. The ride to the Oak Alley and Evergreen Plantations took about an hour and the van was very comfortable. Madison is smart, funny, and very knowledgeable. During the ride to and from the plantations he held... More

Old River Road Plantation Adventures offers a visit to Oak Alley and Laura Plantations. Those are the two (in combination) that are the most commonly visited and worth your time. Know a few things to make the most of this... 1. You can book Oak Alley in conjunction with a Plantation besides Laura, yet these are not offered as frequently.... More

Went on the Oak Alley plantation tour as well as the Laura Plantation tour. The bus driver Jacques was amazing and gave the guests some history on the city and state on the way to Oak Alley. At Oak Alley the plantation was very beautiful. The tour guide Jesse was vey informative about the history of the plantation. If you... More

We visited Oak Alley and Laura along with the optional gator tour. Our tour guides Jacque and Richard were fantastic and their narration to and from plantations was informative and interesting. The plantations themselves were beautiful. Laura's tour I found to be the better of the two! Add on the swamp tour! So worth it!

Jacques was an excellent tour guide and did a fantastic job keeping the trip from the French Quarter to the Plantations interesting. Oak Alley was terrific - the tour moved at a good pace and Donna (tour guide) kept it light and interesting. The second stop at Evergreen was long, the tour group very large, and not as interesting. If... More

I thoroughly enjoyed the Plantations I visited. Laura is a Creole Plantation and Oak Alley is a more Southern plantation. We even passed by a Plantation home that was the scene for the movie Skeleton Key with Kate Hudson. Highly recommend learning about life on these plantations. Oil Jars and Ice boxes.

Jacques was a really funny, knowledgeable and friendly driver and guide. We went for the double plantation and swamp tour and it was a really good way of doing a lot in a trip which started at 8am and ended at 5pm. Started off with a trip to the Oak Alley plantation which was very interesting; we learned of the... More
