Gray Line New Orleans has been showcasing the city since 1924. Locally owned and operated, the Gray Line schedule includes the award winning Original Cocktail Tour. Another top offering is the Ghost Tour, which has been so intensely researched that the hotel with the most reported Ghost sightings in the city has invited Gray Line to produce an exhibit in their hotel. Among our professionally escorted tours are the Super City Tour, Katrina Tours, Swamp & Bayou, Airboat Swamp Tours, Oak Alley & Laura Plantation Tours, Cemetery & Voodoo, French Quarter & Garden District Walking Tours We limit the number of guests on our walking tours to enhance the experience and the view is always better from our luxurious mini-busses and motor coaches. Our Tour Guides are well trained, licensed, and want to share their personal experiences along the way. Morning to evening you can count on Gray Line New Orleans

The tour actually started as we drove to the plantation. Jude, the driver, was a fantastic, humorous, fact filled, story teller of things pertaining to New Orleans. The drive out to Oak Alley seemed to take no time. Then what a beautiful view or the plantation through its oak tree lined path. The plantation house tour guide took us through... More

I really learned a lot from this tour. Daniel certainly surpassed his goals to provide education, "enjoyment" and enlightenment. I've always been curious about the effects, origins, and rebuilding of New Orleans after Katrina and I certainly learned a lot from him. Daniel was a classic raconteur with real passion for his work and his city. I say it's his... More

We believe that keeping the tours smaller, especially the walking tours, enhances the experience for the guest. The bus tours lend themselves to a bit larger groups as there is very little background noise. We would love to have you return and join us for another Gray Line tour. More

Wanted to take a plantation tour with the focus from the slaves aspect and this Gray line tour was the only one that did. A full half hour longer than the other tours with the information devoted to how the slaves lived and the untold struggles they were forced to endure. The focus is on their history, from being taken... More

Thanking Kindrell, aka Ken, for such a wonderful trip to the plantation. He was kind, funny, intelligent, and super informative! We learned so much on the way to the Plantation about various points of interest on the way there. So glad we decided to book the tour. Would definitely come back again for other tours!

We had the pleasure of touring the beautiful Garden District with our tour guide Marcia. Not only was the tour extremely informative but we enjoyed Marcia's company. The tour even allowed us to enter one of the mansions which was even more beautiful on the inside than you could imaging just gazing from the street. Marcia'a love for the unique... More

Sheila was fascinating!!! She told us some wonderful historical facts about New Orleans and blended them with some personal stories of her family related to tour discussions. We felt very fortunate to have her as she had a tremendous knowledge of the city. An added bonus was the fact that she is an architect and gave us detailed information on... More

We took the Gray Line Hurricane Katrina tour with guide, Bruce Nolan. He was a reporter for the New Orleans Times-Picayune for decades and he gave a detailed and thoughtful tour of the areas where the city flooded in 2005, and the devastating effects on the people and long term effects on the city. We learned it was mostly the... More

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
