I loved the big brass band that I was able to experience at this bar. It also has plenty of room for standing and a neat outdoor area as well.

If you love music then this is a must. The Jazz band was absolutely amazing on the Tuesday night! There is little to no hospitality though so dont go expecting good service or a classy place. It's definitely more of a dive but once it...More

This place is pretty raw with a door guy who takes pride in being difficult. If you can get past the rawness and the door guy who takes his job way too seriously then you should have a good time. Music is good, drinks come...More

Great music, interesting little bar, super friendly staff, and strong drinks. Saw a swamp blues band and the Revival Brass Band. So much fun, would recommend it after a fine meal at Jacque-Imos next door. The area is Uptown, so away from the craziness of...More

Stopped here after eating at Jacques-imo's next door (a must by the way). Bartenders were great, excellent band playing. Patio out back is a nice touch. only issue is some of the patrons were a bit much. Seemed to be some "attitude" going on which...More

This place was recommended to us for the great music and it was well worth it. Not the greatest looking place but full of character. The venue is not the biggest so try to get there early.

My biggest point here is that all the reviews that say it was too packed in this magical place on a Tuesday either aren't used to any normal music gig, or don't like crowds. It was FINE! We were told my a bar tender in...More

The venue is pretty whatever but you aren't coming for that. I was looking through the free music magazine I found at the grocery store and this was popping on Tuesday night. When I was at acme having Oysters one of the guys opening the...More

Uptown / Carrollton
Very much their own self sufficient unit within the
greater metro area, Uptown and Carrollton tone down
the urban edge with a friendly attitude and collegiate

Stick with your plan. Did you see who is at the Maple Leaf on Wed. night? The New Orleans Suspects. Are you in town for the French Quarter Fest? That'll be a great time.

Rebirth plays Tuesday's at 1030. There is limited, very limited seating so unless there is a special need, just plan on standing. I personally enjoyed the local brass bands that played in the street corner but the Maple Leaf... More
