Love his work

Jamie Hayes (who is occasionally in the shop) makes interesting paintings (I have 3) and write great children's books - taps into their imagination.

This is the third time we've been to NOLA, and the third time we've bought a print from this gallery. Each time we go to Mardi Gras, we get a print from the year that we've gone as a souvenir. A great gallery, good service and not bad prices.

Loved Jamie's work so much that we purchased several pieces, some for ourselves and some for gifts. Our traveling companions did, too!

All the products in this shop are designed by the artist Jamie Hayes. They have cool posters, t-shirts cups and various other articles. Everything was on half price clearance the week I was there

Even if you are not familiar with Jamie's work, make a point to visit this gallery and see why he such a popular and beloved artist. His creations are whimsical and cover a plethora of themes and are sure to make you happy! I was especially happy as everything was 1/2 price!

As I meandered down Chartres Street, popping into the women's clothing stores, I came across this gallery. I did not leave without a number of items in my shopping bag. I purchased a couple of t-shirts, 2 prints, earrings and bracelet. There is so much to look at, beautiful choices and everything in the store was 50% off when I... More

Jamie Hayes is truly a New Orleans Treasure. His art is inspirational and unending in its fine details. I am a local and I have always loved his work. Today I was lucky enough to be able to purchase three of his original paintings. One of the great things about Jamie's gallery is that there are prints, giclees, and paintings... More

I have been in New Orleans a number of times and have explored a lot of areas in the French Quarter, but I found a new "Favorite List" with Jamie Hayes Gallery. This is not the typical New Orleans tourist shop with the normal shirts, beads, hats, etc. Everything is designed by Jamie Hayes and is very unique, but with New Orleans color... More

This is a must see when you visit NOLA! Jamie's work is so colorful and full of personality. We had the opportunity to visit with him on Dec. 18 and it was one of our trip highlights. We discussed books, music, art and scrimshaw. It was amazing to learn about his scrimshaw history and an honor to share time with... More

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
