I only stopped in for about 15 minutes. They had a rock band going with alternating male and female lead singers. They were pretty good but not awesome. The place was very crowded at about 11pm and it looked like the crowd was having a...More

Off of bourbon street, the music drew me in. Saw two bands that did cover tunes of popular 70s and 80s music. 2 for 1 drink specials early in the evening. Lots of dancing and crowd participating singing. Fun was had by all. Tip bands.

We enjoy visiting the Famous Door when in New Orleans. We like rock and roll music more than rap or jazz so this place suits us to a T. There is no cover and the drinks are reasonable.

Fantastic band. Music is what drew us in. Drinking, dancing and singing...great combo. 2 for 1 drinks, even better. Then the band took a break. I get it, can't play all night. DJ picked up the slack and the bar became a ghost town. Hung...More

Our group of 9 LOVED this band! They were quirky and fun and did great covering classic rock (80's mostly). They played every song we asked them to play! The bar service was quick and the bathrooms were clean, which can be hard to find...More

Over a few years, I've been to the Famous Door several times and it seems they have a different band each time. I hope they don't change to Country and Western music!!! Gotta love that good old Rock & Roll!
