End of a disappointing season (yet again) for the NO Pelicans but got some great seats for one of their last games at home. Hadn't been to the Center in awhile so it was nice to see the large scoreboard and the supportive fans. Beer is expensive (like most other sports venues) but it was a nice evening.

Excellent facility. Lots of security. Easy to find parking. Variety of food and drink offerings. Clean. Good sound. Neil Diamonds still got it. So glad he came to New Orleans!

Being from Eastern Iowa, you have to support any Chicago team. Now, Steve and I are not huge sports fans, but he likes going to see a sporting event in a new city we have never been to before. Our luck was the Chicago Bulls playing the New Orleans Pelicans. We got excellent seats for under $200. The same seats... More

Came all the way from Canada to see Soul 2 Soul and what an awesome show it was, and I must say the Americans know how to cheer on there performers. As well behind me on the wall they had the Canadian flag beside the American flag so nice.

This was our first time at an NBA game, and we LOVED it. The stadium experience is fantastic, from the entertainment and atmosphere outside, the drinks and food options inside and the view from all seats was great. There was so much going on as well as the main basketball game to keep you entertained. The match itself was great,... More

Went to see a Pelicans game. Sat in section 314. Could see all of the action no problem. Friendliest staff you will ever meet. Fast service. Very very clean facility.

The stadium overall was very clean and a perfect home for the NBA game. Large jumbotron with 4 sides. Mr Benton's club was cool and the floor seats were unbelievably fun!

But for the appalling acoustics I would have rated it higher. Available food was good standard and varied. Comfortable seats easy access/egress but for a concert it's a dead loss. Has to be the poorest sound quality of all the concert venues I have attended.

Had a WONDERFUL time at the Smoothie King for Billy Joel. He was amazing! The place was clean! the vendors were very AVAILABLE! carrying those heavy ICE COLD ADULT BEVERAGES that I needed!! (they shut down a little too early but....maybe I had enough!)

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
