A quick uber from the French Quarter (or 30 min walk) will get you there. The building is quite unremarkable from the outside – which is absolutely the opposite once you step in the door. Walking in, we opted to head upstairs for a few cocktails prior to making our way into the courtyard. Bar manager Coy was friendly and... More

We are 50 ish folks with our mid 20s daughter, all wine, jazz and food fans. We loved the relaxed and beautiful nighttime setting, and the music was great. An amazing collection of wines, although a broader selection of by the glass wines would be a nice addition. The food was fantastic (looking at you, pork shoulder). There are sand... More

I first went to Bacchanal when visiting NOLA a year ago, on the recommendation of a friend. My friends and I were thinking this would be just a pit stop along the way - a quick glass of wine, and off we'd be to the next adventure. Right .... the charming patio area and musical duo on the small stage... More

We went based on a blog review and were not disappointed. Cocktails were delicious, wine variety impressive and the charcuterie platter they created with our selections was amazing. I just wish we had stayed longer for dinner and to enjoy the music ..but limited time in the city and so many restaurant options!!!

If looking to get away from the city, this is a great little respite to experience a good meal, a glass of wine, and some music outdoors. We ended up purchasing an expensive but good cheese tray and some wine. Upstairs was not currently serving food and the wine tasting had just ended. A bit disappointing. Service could be improved.... Fun, jazz-filled and large back patio that is great for wine and cheese and chilling out. Ordering is complicated but small 'price' to pay.

Anything but ****** would be an understatement. A must in NOLA. We have been taken places, events, venues and restourants but the one we dod like the most is Bacchanal! Even Croatian wines available are tue very best, genuine and great value for money. People, sevice and the program is what we came to NOLA for. Thank You! =)

Very casual, wine by the glass or bottle. Pretty wine garden with tables, little white lights, and fans. Perfect for a relaxed afternoon.

If we were locals, we'd be at this spot all of the time. It is such an inviting, casual and unique environment. The nice guy at the door explained how it worked- just grab a bottle in the shop or by the glass outside or head upstairs for the hard stuff. We hung out on the balcony for an hour... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Faubourg Marigny & Bywater
Nestled between the French Quarter and the Ninth Ward, the Faubourg Marigny & Bywater environs are largely residential. Of course, folks around here love to go out and have a good time as much as they do anywhere in NOLA. And if out-of-towners want to join in the festivities, well then so much the better! Home to some of the most revered live music venues in New Orleans, an eclectic gaggle of gourmand dining destinations, and a come-as-you-are vibe that’s as infectious as it is alluring, this is real deal New Orleans oozing with southern hospitality and the promise of a most epic night out. For endless opportunities to boogie, to admire row upon row of lovingly restored homes, and to escape the fray of the more touristic parts of town (but still live it up in grand style) head to Faubourg Marigny & Bywater.
