Really nice welcome however the content was a bit limited. Some interesting history re the development of the area and Zell am Zee, skis, boots and local natural resources. Very intersting Joanna Lumly lookalike displaying local costume!

Schloss Goldegg! In the beginning thought just a little normal castel as others but in the end find out the interesting protestant religions people escape from catholic to usa & Germany in 18th centery. Such amazing dark religions history. Its not a big place just take 60 mins to enjoy it.

1000 year old tower which has been lovingly converted to a fascinating and varied local museum. Packed tight with interesting memorabilia of Zell am See's history, including the Hitler/Nazi era. Way of life and changes in Zell are beautifully depicted - wonderful examples of life and changes over the past 1000 years.I could have stayed there for hours. Free entry... More

Lots of interesting details about the area dating back hundreds of years --- It would be even better if there were more explanations in English... A surprise on the top floor.... skis , poles and boots from way-back-when !

Joyful to learn more about Zell am See. So many big mudslides over the years, a place you must visit.

I confess I wasn't expecting much when I entered this museum, it's through a little door in the side of the building, and I expected a few dusty pictures, a bit of farm equipment, and maybe a couple of old skis. I was wrong. It's in fact a fairly large collection of local historical information and artefacts, covering the origin... More

What a charming little museum with so much interesting information on the way country people used to live. The perfect place to go when weather is unstable. Very friendly museum staff.
