A beautiful ski area with efficient lifts and well groomed pistes to satisfy all levels of skier. Linked to several smaller resorts by gondola and by bus to Oberau and Neiderau

Pretty extensive resort - well maintained. Nice nursery slopes but not great for progression to the more difficult runs so would suit absolute beginners or confident intermediates. Some of the lifts can get pretty busy, notably the Hornalm lift - also our favourite ski area....More

We have skied here many times over the years and have always enjoyed our holiday. The slopes are well maintained with a good variety for all skill levels. We based ourselves in Alpbach as usual and catch the short free ski bus to the slopes....More

We’re beginners and this was our first ski holiday. The scenery was spectacular, there were quite a few blue runs to try, and the local ski school (Ski Check) was fantastic. We took two lessons ( one with Charlotte and one with Wim), and were...More

I have skied at almost all the mega resorts but loved Alpbach. The ski area is medium sized but interesting. None of the pistes are very challenging, but there is a good selection of black runs. Most are attractive and interesting. The lift system is...More

This is a good area to ski with families or intermediates. The interconnecting gondolas mean that there is a wide variety of pistes to ski of different difficulties. There are 3 ski schools here and mountain cafes are well located and have a wide choice...More

Great ski school and slopes to keep you busy for a week at least provided there is play of snow. it is not as high as some other resorts but prices are great here.

The ski area is covered by plenty of gondolas and chair lifts with a few drag lifts. We had so much snow whilst there that the pistes couldn't be groomed for the first couple days. After that they were superbly prepared, wide slopes, great skiing.

Family Vacation was the best. Great Ski Area, no lines ever, wonderful restaurants and new bobsled at the top!

2 great mountains to ski well serviced by gondolas and chairlifts. The pistes have been much improved on the Wiedersberghorn and are wider and well maintained. A great resort for beginner through to good/strong intermediate. The village of Alpbach is small and very friendly.
