I expected the art gallery to have a good collection of local artists and to be a good place to pick up some dessert themed artwork. Unfortunately, it appeared to be a hodgepodge collection which too much space devoted to one particular artist (after you saw the first two pieces you need did not need to see a roomful more... It has been my pleasure to start working with this gallery. They have a mixture of group and solo shows that change each month, in three distinct gallery rooms, plus a separate gift store. The gallery shows local and regional artists - both visual and performance. Each month there is a reception for the month's shows, which includes an artist's... More

This is a small gallery that highlights some local artists... of different media. It's staffed by volunteers and either knew the creators of the pieces on display or at least knew the background. Every place has one of these... and they are great places to get a feel of the local culture. The gift shop has a nice full line... More

Staffed by volunteers, in a building dating to the 1930's, the 29 Palms Art Gallery is representative of artists who make their home in the desert. The Gift Shop is a special treat with selections from Hopi, Navajo, and Zuni craftsmen that are way underpriced. The staff are cordial and enthusiastic!

Lots of arts and gifts in a very relaxing and calm store. The lady running the gift shop was so friendly and welcoming. Easy to pick up a few souvenirs of the desert and 29 palms area. Nice parking area and pleasant grounds. Ideal place to stop when you've had your fill of hiking at JOSHUA Tree.

Unbelievable. That's the only word to describe this place! Gretchen and Sue took an enormous amount of time to teach my girls printmaking, and offered to ship their artwork home so I didn't have to lug it around San Diego for 8 days. They offer every type of art class under the sun. My girls and I are definitely looking... More
