Nice informative museum of the local area. From the first settlers, the Marine Base past and present, and the friendly staff. Tours are available.

This is a very nice museum dedicated to the history of 29 Palms. They moved the old school house to this location across the street from the Art Gallery.

This museum touches on the history of the city. It's built inside the former one-room schoolhouse. An outside building allows you to view the area's first public transportation--the Hastie Bus. Great gift shop too. Even locals shop here for the perfect gift.

Just outside 29 Palms Inn - the only decent place to eat fine food around here. There are lots of desert memorabilia here - some would call “junk” but interesting stuff. A nice chronology of 29 Palms through the years. Great docants

This schoolhouse was originally built in another location, added to, and then the entire long building, in one piece, was moved to this location. As you enter, there is a gift shop with historical books among other things. The middle room is filled with objects...More

We went here on a rainy day... and really got a history lesson. Sometimes you think that 'history' means that it has to hundreds of years old, especially if you live in the east. But this school house museum tells the story of the area's...More

This is a small museum recounting the early history of the 29 Palms schoolhouse and to some extent the entire area. If we had just walked through it on our own, it would have been of modest interest, but nothing more. The gentleman who guided...More
