Why do a helicopter tour when you can fly Mokulele Airlines?

If you ever flew Mokulele Airlines between the Hawaiian islands, you'll know what I'm talking about when I say this is basically a free helicopter ride to see the islands. We flew... read more

We were a little nervous about flying on such a small plane. Our flight to the Big Island was at night, so we couldn't see anything, but the process was great not having to go through security and just walk to the plane and get on. Our return flight to Maui was at noon but we were there early and... More

Booked a flight on Travelocity from Kona to Maui months ago trying to find the cheapest flight between two airports. I hadn't heard of Mokulele airlines but their website seemed legitimate so we went for it. The plane is a 10 passenger commuter prop plane. Needless to say my wife was beating me up when she saw the airplane leaves... More

When I bought my ticket there was no mention of baggage fees. When we Checked in my carry on bag was 20lbs and was told it would be $20. When we asked they said anything over 15lbs would be a charge. We just paid the fee , didn't want to go thru my bag. But they are inconsistent on who... More

Was shocked at the terminal when they notified they had different baggage policies and very rude customer service. On questioning as I was not aware on the same I was told that I had booked through Priceline and when I further argued on the same. The lady on the counter became extremely rude and started to prove a point. Was... More

If you ever flew Mokulele Airlines between the Hawaiian islands, you'll know what I'm talking about when I say this is basically a free helicopter ride to see the islands. We flew from Honolulu to Kapalua (West Maui) with Mokulele Airlines in a 9 person propeller plane. Sure they follow a flight path but we got awesome views and pictures... More

Flew with my family from Maui to the Big Island on Mokulele. Really loved it because this Airline is quintessential Hawaii. Aloha attitude everywhere. When boarding our flights the Pilots willingly took pictures of us in front of their beautiful airplanes. The Plans were clean. The flights were just so convenient and easy. Loved traveling this way. Even the On... More

I purchased these tickets due to the fact that they were the cheapest on Kayak. When I came to the gate the lady was very kind and told me that each carry on which is over 15lb is a $20 charge! Had I known, I could have purchased delta or AA tickets for the same price and received an air... More

Very sorry to hear about the missed expectations. Our aircraft do not have overhead bin space for carry-ons, so we have to limit these to smaller less than 15lb items. Any larger items must go into our baggage compartment and are considered checked bags. We try and be very clear and upfront on our website about baggage limitations and fees.... More

Ice Veena sitting at the gate for 6 hours now since our flight was cancelled due to mechanical issues. No money back offered, no compensation of any kind. I'll be missing my meeting in Maui now, as I have been scheduled for a flight that leaves 4 hours later. My time is extremely valuable to me, but not to these... More

I'm very sorry to hear of your poor experience. Mechanical delays are unfortunate but sometimes unavoidable in the interest of passenger safety. We decided to go from one island to another and I really recommend this airline to everyone doing the same thing. They fly so low that you get to see all of the islands and the take offs are so fun! It may be slightly longer and more expensive than a more larger airlines, but this 10 person plane is... More

Thank you for giving us a try! Sometimes the flights are more expensive and sometimes less, like everything seems to depend on when it is booked. Also, the planes are a bit slower in the air, but except for HNL we do not have TSA and smaller terminal areas, so actually from the time you arrive and get to your... More

Me and my friend were flight with mokulele from Maui to Kona on April. I had no idea how small was the plane, but despite of this, the flight was perfect.
