Prepare to go through a long lava road with your car (a jeep or something similar is totally recommended) and then a little walk to get here. It's the kind of paradise beach you see in postcards, with turtles, sand, palms and no human. Awesome trip

Took a bumpy stone road to the beach and was very impressed on the beauty of what we saw. One of the nicest beaches we visited while on the island.

The sand of the beach is just awesome... the beach is usually empty.. the only inconvenience might be that there are nude persons on this beach. Otherwise, everything is perfect.

we really did love this beach but it was really difficult to reach, we had a regular car and didn't want to have some troubles with our car rental... so we started to walk since the highway and believe me with the high temperature it was a long walk to get to the first beach... which is already really beautiful,... My husband and I rented a Jeep just to be able to go to this beach. It's got white sand and very clear water and snorkeling spots. It's awesome. The road to the beach is not paved and parts are still on lava rock, but it's worth the ride or the hike if you decide to visit the north part.... More

There are two entrances to this gem of a beach! But both entrance ways may be difficult for some. One way requires either a very long walk or your 4WD vehicle to take a beating and the other does not require 4WD, but the hike starts at Kekaha Kai State park (which would mean that you may not stay as... This is a local beach with very bad road and a fair walk to the water. the parking is busy and it is advised not to leave any valuable in the car.

This continues to be my favorite beach on the island. Absolutely stunning cove with crystal-clear water and sea turtles resting on the sand. This time there was only one but the last time I was here there were five. My only complaint is that the beach sand is not soft and the rocks in the water can hurt the feet.... More

This place is a bit of a hike on the lava rock, but well worth it. One of the nicest beaches you will ever see.
