The trail isn't in the greatest condition, especially on a rainy day. It's steep and muddy in places so be careful. But the higher you go, the more beautiful the views of town, Resurrection Bay and the surrounding mountains. Also, the trailhead is literally right...More

Morning, hike to ‘Mt. Marathon’ trail. The trail is steep but a view of the ‘Resurrection’ bay visible on the way is truly amazing. It should take 3 to 4 hours to do it. Besides wilderness, the flora & fauna display on the way looks...More

It is a docile looking mountain but don't let it fool you. Go with someone who know a thing or two about the mountain. There are sections of steep climbs. The views are absolutely breath-taking but you are never far away from a mis-step. Take...More

Three of us hiked the mountain, it was hard and fun. It rained and then the sun came out and it was beautiful, at the Bowl, there is snow and a spectacular view.

Attempted the hikers trail which starts at 1st and Monroe streets. The only parking available was on the residential streets. The hike starts on a steep jeep trail and gets you a free stair master workout. This didn't bother me as I was in decent...More
