Interactive museum great for children of all ages. Right underground in San Ramon's central plaza. Money plates are interesting along with art plates used. Gold souvenir shop is amazing. Worth the trip.

We were travelling from San Jose to Arenal via San Ramon, there was a car from behind, which honked and said near San Ramon, your rear passenger side tire is flat, we stopped to change the tire, a lady showed up and offered to help change the flat tire, after we left after an hour when we were about to... I'm not sure what was going on here...it may have been under renovation when we came because the only two things to see were a giant sloth and an exhibit on turtles hatching. You could see this in 5 minutes. I think it is more of a gathering place for the community.

Well, it wasn't crazy awesome. But we'd taken a day trip from Alajuela to San Ramon and it started to rain...... so we stepped into the Museum which truth be told, doesn't have much for standing exhibits. It looks more like a place that hosts traveling exhibits. It's free and cute and something you could pop into while waiting to... More

Maybe, every town needs a museum like this, whom, also has a concert hall and a great piano. The only trouble is that you cannot visit it on Sunday. It still a great initiative from the University of Costa Rica.

I loved it, what an incredible learning experience. The city of the poets, that is how you will remember this town, this is where the poetry was born in Costa Rica, and it is a beautiful small museum. Learn about their people, their coffee, their history. Learn about the peaceful and beautiful energy of Costa Rica

This museum, across the street from the park, deserves a quick visit of 15-20 minutes if you are in San Ramon and interested in natural history. Its two small rooms have models and a few fossils of the enormous sloths found in the area about 12,000 years ago. The visual image of seeing them (rather than reading about 4 ton... More

Lots of historic information. Worth a visit if your going to spend time in San Ramon. They have live music on a regular schedule, jazz, blues as well as Tico marimba and other Latin music.
