Had a delightful cold, wet afternoon blowing glass bubbles. Needed long pants and protective footwear. Recommend this experience for the fresh food, glass garden ornamentation and delightful hosts. The restaurant overlooks the garden and the menu used fresh picked vegetables and herbs. Sensational time with...More

Had a private tour with Donna Griffard one of the first garden workers. Many stories about the property and owners. It is a hidden gem in Skagway. So beautiful

I went in for a tour of the gardens. It was very nice, but nothing amazing. They also have a glass blowing workshop for making glass bulbs.

We visited this restaurant as part of our excursion with the Princess Cruise line. What a lovely place. There are gardens to visit and spend time in and there is a glass blowing area with beautiful objects that are also found in the gardens but...More

This was by far the best excursion my Mother and I did on our whole Alaskan cruise. We booked independently from the cruise. We had some tense moments on our way to the gardens due to forces beyond our control but had the best time...More

Booked this excursion via cruise line, Holland America. Amanda, our tour guide, met us and gave us the Skagway tour and history on our bus ride to the gardens. We had a beautiful, sunny, but chilly day in Skagway. The gardens were pretty but we...More

This was the one cruise excursion that really surprised us! My husband was always fascinated by glassblowers and their craft so when the cruise offered this excursion to see a demonstration and assist in making our own ornament, I signed us up. And it was...More

The guides were friendly and informative. The lunch was simple and delicious, with ingredients from their own garden. Of course, the glassblowing was very interesting. It was a bit expensive, but worth the extra money. I have a memory hanging in my window.

We recently visited Jewell Gardens and took a glassblowing class from Amy. This was a super experience. Not only was Amy patient but she was an excellent teacher. We got to choose what we wanted, in this case my husband and I both chose Christmas...More

Clearly they were not ready for a bus load of tourists, lunch took a long time (though they had plenty of tea) and was cold. I am sure on a nice day this would be experienced much differently, but we were thoroughly unimpressed.

buses do run that direction. I'm not sure of any details on this. You may be able to sign up for the tour directly through Jewell gardens and discuss transportation with them. The tour and glass blowing is well worth it!!

Yes, we were on a cruise and the bus took us to the gardens right from the port. I think the quality of the garden tours would vary, based on the status of the what is blooming/in season, but it is a beautiful and... More
