Beautiful trees, the wrought iron archway and the totem pole are the nice features of this park area. They call it a square but it's shape is more triangular. What put us off spending too much time here were all the homeless people sleeping on...More

Pioneer Square is home to many historic buildings. Many date from the 18th century. It is here that the early settlers landed. Within the area are many restaurants, the Underground Tours, and the Gold Rush Museum. I recommend that you visit, if you are a...More

This was a fairly easy walk from the Pike Place Market and Seattle Art Museum. I walked alone in the daytime, but saw groups of people in tours. In the park here, there were many homeless people camping out, with a couple of security guards...More

I went alone to pioneer square to meet a segway tour and do the underground tour. I asked my shuttle driver about the homeless in the area. He said not to worry about it because they are harmless. He was right. I never felt uneasy...More

I love Pioneer Square. There is so much history and quirky bars and restaurants. Definitely a good place to go before and after a sporting event. It does get pretty crowded, but that is part of the appeal.

Fun to walk through this part of the city, but not that much to do in this area. The buildings were amazing. Some areas are kind of dirty.

We walked through this section for two reasons: first, to get to Salumis and, second, because it is the oldest part of the city. Architecturally, there were a number of interesting buildings; however, this was offset by the large number of "interesting types" who were...More

I walked through this area on my "underground tour". I have to say, I can understand why some would see this as not appearing as a safe area. There are a lot of homeless and random strange folk in this very large common area. Both...More

Gorgeous area if you appreciate architecture. Fun to walk through on you way to a ballgame or just people watch.

As far as I know you can only go with a tour but it is well worth it!
