Great place for kids and crazy adults

Yeah you read it right. It's great for kids and crazy adults. So much to do with science and toys and insects. This part of town is the best in Seattle so stay in this area

6 adults and 9 children in our group and we all had fun. Children ranged in age from 4 to 14 and they were all entertained in some way in every themed room. We spent a good 4 hours there and no one was bored. Lots to read and learn and even more great hands on stuff to experience and... More

We were sadly disappointed with this children's museum. While the space itself was decent, we found it to need some TLC and lacking fun. We were hoping to find more hands on activities, and seemed to only find toys/play things behind plastic cases. We went with a four year old and he went through the entire museum in about 20... This is a great place in the core of the city within short walking distance to the space needle, monorail, great kids park, pop culture museum and more.

My wife purchased a membership after arriving in Seattle and it was soon a family favorite with a minimum of weekly trips (our children weren't in school at this stage) and even after well over 20 visits the children get excited every time we go. I recommend supervising your children though as they will be able to get more out... More

I went with a 4 and a 7 year old. There are large spaces for kids to play. We found many varied activities, from fine motor like Legos to large blue blocks with a groove for a ball to roll:,another area with "real" building supplies with bolts, wing nuts. There are plenty of supplies so kids can work on their... More

My son is 3 years old. He enjoyed it so much, we had to almost drag him out to be able to have lunch. We thought we would spend like 1 or 2 hours top there, but we were there for more then 4 hours and he was still having so much fun. But it was almost 4 pm and... More

This is a great place for your 2-5 year old only. A child older than this won't find anything of interest until you reach the last room where they can contruct things. Many displays were missing pieces to complete the activity. It is meant for the adult to lead the child in the play/learning activity so don't think you are... More

An excellent place for anyone with young children. I brought my 1.5 year old and 3.5 year old boys for a visit. They loved it! The younger one loved the touch pond while the older one loved running into the various themed rooms. There is a lot to climb on, touch, hold, throw, and anything else a toddler finds fun.... More

Brought my 2 1/2 year old. Had previously bought a groupon and then once there paid $25 for 3 hours of parking outside of the museum. Was overwhelmed with the size and amount of exhibits at first but then soon realized there wasn't actually a lot to do. A lot of rooms that children could only look at but not... More
