We didn't even know about this place till last minute when our teens told us we had to visit this place. Yeah, teens! They get all the wacky ideas!!! So yes, out of curiosity, we ventured there, and what do you expect? It was a sleazy street underneath the marketplace, colored gums all over the walls ... Health Inspectors are... More

Just take the stairs down beneath the famous fish throwing-catching market at Pike's Place and you enter a world of gum walls. It's forever morphing... when we were there, there was a gum US flag on the wall and even some business cards from all over adhered with the sticky goo.

The gum wall at the bottom of Pike Place is much bigger than you'd think. It's well worth a visit. The sheer quantity of gum is impressive.

It is what it sounds like. An entire alley covered in graffiti and gum. It's like a train wreck, you have to see it. As gross as it seems, don't touch anything, you can't stop looking. But you will want to put your own gum on it, and then wash your hands! And don't forget it is a street so... More

This is easy to miss if you don't know where to look. It's down the alley to the left of the market if you are facing the main entrance.

It's a wall, down an alley, covered in gum. I don't know, maybe I was expecting it to be artsy? But it was just kinda weird. The alley was not well lit, so go during the day. It's right under pike place market so if you're there you might as well stop, but I wouldn't go out of your way.... More

Strange, but fun, worth it to walk over from Pike Place. The entire area if fun and little gems are hidden everywhere.

Fun place to see, despite the "history" of the "art"! If at the Pike Place Market you must go under to visit the wall and leave your mark ;)

Sounds gross but it is worth visiting just to say you have seen it, is something different and unusual definite talking point.

It's worth your while to take a quick trip down the stairs under Pike St Market to visit the famous gum wall. There will be lots of tourists taking pictures. It's a little bit icky, but you don't have to get too close to see this unique Seattle landmark. Great photo op!
