What an interesting building. There is an information counter and a small gift shop where you can find that special gift. This is a very interesting library.

We went just to take a walk through. The architecture of the building is fabulous and we were not disappointed with the interior design either. I would make this a must do for any trip to Seattle.

Seattle's Libraries are the best I have ever seen. I use the internet called overdrive. Once you re set up you cab get 25 books at any time. I like Swedish Mysteries, African American writing, and psychological works. Seattle's downtown library is very busy...I go...More

Designed by famed architect Koolhaus, this library houses an amazing collection of works of all sorts. The genealogy department is very strong, offering free classes and consultations to those wishing to expand their knowledge of their own family history.

Absolutely stunning place. Unique way of using colors in corridors, around escalators. Extensive use of red color in a corridor surprisingly goes well & so the yellow along escalator. Facade also quite different. View from top floor through the opening right up to ground level...More
