Go early, grab a croissant and coffee au lait sitting in the square, people watch then plunge into the shopping throng. French people have been doing this here for over 600 years and it works beautifully.

Visit on a Saturday when there is a very good market both inside Les Halles and outside in the streets. Fantastic French food fresh from the farms.

A real piece of medieval France still used today for weekly market and social gathering of the local people. Again on market day do visit.

This is a magnificent building with a lively market selling local Pays-d'auge regional produce at less cost than the local shops. Fish, meat, cheeses, ciders etc. A must if visiting the area!

Interesting 14th century hall with the most incredible roof beams. It is used as a market on Saturdays. Behind the hall are very attractive medieval half timbered houses and Le Village d'Art which has quirky artisan shops. Worth a visit

Amazing to think the scene has not changed that much in hundreds of years, best visited on market day.

Small historic center, but nice and worth a short visit once you're around. Not too crowded and not a lot of tourists in the village.
