Interesting visit to a unique phenomenon in this part of France. Only partly unearthed. It is almost unbelievable that 35000 sarcophages have been cut out of this 'soft' stone. We were almost alone and got great additional information (also about the local rose culture) from...More

Not knowing much about the these structures or their history, this tour was very informative. Our guide from Boston was very enthusiastic and jovial. We learned a lot. Note that this particular site seemed to have limited opening times, so check before you go.

Unusual. Photos were great. Life in caves, farming life. Certainly not boring. Great value for money. Loads of parking.

The site was very impressive and the guided tour was incredibly in-depth and informative. A great place to escape the midday heat and full of history.

This was very interesting and informative and the workings are quite shallow so you are not too far underground. We had excellent guides who were English students working for bed & board to improve their French.
