Who knew you could find fishing a couple of blocks off the main, tourist streets of Anchorage?! At the right time of year, you can snag salmon. Well kept walking paths, bathrooms and picnic area (tables & chairs) and lush greenery. Nice to fish, walk...More

This is a great place to walk along the stream and see fish in the creek. It is in downtown anchorage but you wouldn't know it when you are there. Great place for families to go on walks. It is very peaceful.

Impromptu visit but worth the stop. There was still ice/snow on the creek but slowly melting. Great photo opportunity.

We visited on a morning in August; there apparently were no fish really running, or at least we didn't see any. There were a few fisherman around but didn't seem to be much action. Ship Creek is a waterway that runs next to downtown Anchorage....More

Unfortunately the fish were not running. The area is great for a walk and for picture taking. From the bridge you can see the fish ladder too.
