Williwaw campground is one of our favourites in Alaska. The signage to find the trail is absolutely terrible. This is also in the wrong section of Tripadvisor and should be moved to Portage or the Girdwood area. The trail is wonderful with a large amount...More

We stayed at Williwaw Campground and hiked the Trail of Blue Ice at the back of the campground. It is a very easy, wide, flat trail--very little elevation. You an get to Williwaw Nature Trail from there too. We walked all the way to the...More

We stayed in the Williwaw Campground and hiked around the trails. Very nice. There is lots to do. Make sure you check out the nature trail when the Salmon are coming upstream! I believe this is part of the USFS Chugach NF.

Decent beginners trail, other than the occasional bear sighting this trail is great for families, friends who don't get out much or sweethearts. It is a National Park Service trail and well kept.

Watch for bears during salmon season....see them almost every time I come and walk the trail. Winter can be a bit of a challenge, with snow, wind, and ice, just come prepared.

We loved this beautiful, amazingly well organized campground. While you are here make sure to eat at Whittier Alaska Swiftwater Seafood Cafe. Great food and an amazing view!
