Popular spot in Anchorage to chill and watch the sunsets. Along the Tony Knowles Coastal Trail, which follows around the shoreline both ways - one way going to downtown area, the other to Kincaid park. Good chance to see moose year-round, and eagles during spring...More

Why is it that, no matter where you go in this world, tourists visit places that local residents never seem to take the time and go to the trouble to visit? I have had (one of my several) a residence here since 1994 and my...More

We were lucky as we stood viewing Cooks Inlet, we saw whales breaking the surface. There was, of course, a great view of downtown Anchorage. This small park is close to Earthquake Park.

Great place for a few pics of the whole city. Very scenic. Nice little park. Was too cloudy for mountain pics but overall I would recommend to stop for a few pics!

Not only is this the "Maho Beach" of Alaska with low-flying cargo planes buzzing the parking lot, but we saw the best view of Denali and a female moose here (up close). You can see the snow-capped peaks of the Lake Clark area from the...More

My husband and I stopped at Point Woronzoff our first day in Alaska. We had no trouble finding parking for our 25-foot rented RV and walked around a while. From there, we could see the mountains, the water, and planes taking off and landing. We...More

Right before the point is a great place to watch planes take off from the airport. They fly right over and they are big! The point itself is nice to watch the sun set at 10:45pm!

Beautiful view of Cook's Inlet and great place to watch the planes fly overhead landing at the nearby airport. You feel as if you can reach out and touch the planes as they fly overhead.

I had a late flight out of Anchorage and passed a couple of hours sitting here enjoying the scenery and eating an ice cream cone (from the ice cream truck in the parking lot). Planes fly directly overhead leaving Anchorage, so it's a fun spot...More

Great overlook of Cook Inlet, especially if not taking the T. Knowles trail; has plenty of parking, a covered seating area, but no restroom facilities. Mosquitoes were plentiful.
