Not only is this the "Maho Beach" of Alaska with low-flying cargo planes buzzing the parking lot, but we saw the best view of Denali and a female moose here (up close). You can see the snow-capped peaks of the Lake Clark area from the...More

My husband and I stopped at Point Woronzoff our first day in Alaska. We had no trouble finding parking for our 25-foot rented RV and walked around a while. From there, we could see the mountains, the water, and planes taking off and landing. We...More

Right before the point is a great place to watch planes take off from the airport. They fly right over and they are big! The point itself is nice to watch the sun set at 10:45pm!

Beautiful view of Cook's Inlet and great place to watch the planes fly overhead landing at the nearby airport. You feel as if you can reach out and touch the planes as they fly overhead.

Great overlook of Cook Inlet, especially if not taking the T. Knowles trail; has plenty of parking, a covered seating area, but no restroom facilities. Mosquitoes were plentiful.

We started downtown and hiked the Tony Knowles Coastal Trail out to this point. It provides beautiful views, and had an ice cream truck in the parking lot!

The view from the area is really nice! I will say, however, that there is no designated place for the Lookout that I saw. It's a Long Beach that has jade stones and other stones. Super pretty view when the walk was complete. Just to...More

As you park and walk down the dirt path, you get an awesome breath taking view of the landscape. It doesn't get really sandy like a beach so wear comfortable shoes because you will be stepping on a lot of rocks to get closer to...More
