Awesome Zoo!

The HD Zoo was great! All of the exhibits were really well done and most of the animals were still able to be viewed in the winter. The best thing was the new baby gorilla!

I have lived in Omaha my whole life and watched the zoo grow. It is incredible and has something for all ages. I have been to the well known San Diego zoo and would say this zoo surpasses it in the exhibits and and ability to walk the park easily. You can easily spend a whole day and not get... More

I realize that our timing is significant to this review - 70+ degree weather in mid-February is freakish - wonderful, but weird in that it feels great out, but the plants and animals still think it's winter - and it will be again - in like two or three days! Anyway, considering that it is was technically the dead of... More

Expect to spend a whole day. The aquarium itself is larger and better than many aquariums I have been to. It's worth it get to get the wrist bands for multiple activities also. The jungle is great, and was undergoing improvements when I visited. Some areas were just ok, such as the desert. There's is a nice water play area... More

I have been to a few zoos in my time, including the more famous San Diego Zoo, and I have to say the Henry Doorly Zoo beats them all. The zoo is enormous, but very easy to navigate, and has every animal you can imagine. I couldn't say what was the best part, but the aquarium, the big cats are... More

We have been members for decade+ and go a few times of year. The recent changes made (2016) have really improved the overall experience. Many more attractions and the crowd flow going to the right (south) after entrance. Even removed the horribly steep hill to the elephants. Splash park for kids in the warmer months is very nice. You can... More

Not everyone has 41 grandchildren living in the area. But if you have grandkids, Henry Doorly Zoo is one of the few places that gets it. Our annual pass of just over $100 gets us in the zoo WITH our grandkids. I think the most we have taken st one time is 20-something, but that's all good at HDZ. After... More

I have visited the zoo many, many times. They are constantly adding, updating and upgrading what's available. The aquarium is one of my favorites as is the Skyfari. What a great ride to get an aerial overview of the entire zoo. The food can be pricey but you're welcome to pack your own. I always bring snacks, popcorn, etc for... More

Henry Doorly is ranked as the best zoo in the world. I agree. Visited last week with my daughter and her little boys. Always a wonderful experience. One of the questions Trip Advisor asks is whether it is an outdoor attraction. The answer is yes and no. Parts are outdoor but you can spend an entire day at the indoor... More
