The slides are near 11th St

Nice outdoor walking area. If you're going for the slides, which is why we were taking the kids, you're going to want to look at the place where 11th St butts into the mall. It... read more

This is a great part of Downtown Omaha and the slides are fun for kids and adults. If you are going on the slides, doesn't hurt to bring wax paper or cardboard to increase your speed down the slide. Avoid the slides when temperatures are really hot as the slides can also be hot. Nice spot to have a quick... More

Alright if you're in the Old Market area you should definitely check this place out. It's a very nice park to walk in and it's overall pretty clean. You should go during the day time because it attracts some roughish people at night. A local tip is when you go to the slide bring wax paper you go down a... More

We researched our road trip for the best free fun to have and Omaha's Gene Leahy mall is definitely one of those FREE fun places! Everyone in our family ages 2, 4, 8, 16, &30 had a blast! *Helpful hint* bring wax paper to gain speed going down!

Lots to explore in this park. Art, slides for the kids, water features, and great places to sit and relax. No garbage cans or public restrooms, though.

Nice outdoor walking area. If you're going for the slides, which is why we were taking the kids, you're going to want to look at the place where 11th St butts into the mall. It was surprisingly nice even on a pretty cold day, though obviously you don't want to go if it's raining. There were also a lot of... More

The 40 year old downtown mall (sunken park) has seen better days but a recent refresh has made a big difference. The modern cement waterways on the West end make way for more natural ponds and streams until it connects to the Heartland of American Park (old Conagra campus).

As Mall's go this place is o.k. to spend a few hours in, and has a variety of shops, and large chains. Best to make of a rainy day, if your in a shopping mood. Dont know if they are still there but down the road there is a Long John Silvers fish restaurant, and a Gun Smoke platter steak... More

It was a gorgeous day with a line a mile long for the slide! Kids that had been cooped up for a while were going nuts on a 70+ degree February day! A few adults were going nuts as well!

Nice place for children and parents to meet and watch the children play. Lots of space for them to move around. Children can see the wildlife of the geese and watch the ducklings follow their parents around. Parets, babysitters, grandparents or anyone can gain access with or without a wheelchair.

Nice place to walk except in the winter. Christmas time you bundle up, bring the thermos of hot chocolate and admire the frozen lake and the lights. Summertime evenings are cool and relaxing. Hopefully they will add some attractions closer to the walk for snacks and beverages.
