This place is especially wonderful during the spring and christmas time frames. During the christmas time, you get to see a wonderful decor of lights on all of the trees and a creek that freezes over nicely. During the spring there is a very nice feel to the place, that feels like it's out of a back woods creek in... More

The slides here were so much fun, but I couldn't believe how many people were here in the middle of a weekday. Our kids are younger and a lot of older kids were running around without any concern for the little ones. It is fun and worth a stop, but keep little ones close or they may get plowed over.

Walking arond Gene Leahy Mall you will come across two giant metal slides. You will probably think that they are there for kids. Don't hesitate and find a piece of cardboard or better yet, wax paper and be ready to have a blast. These are fast slides so be safe and watch out for others. The lake is also nice... More

Go down the big slides, feed the geese or swans, play in the snow, enjoy the Winter Lights Festival after Thanksgiving... there is much to do year round at Gene Leahy Mall.

The kids have fun as well as the adults will too going down the slides! Don't forget to bring your wax paper to slide down the slides faster! The was around the lagoon is super! Right now the trees are changing colors just beautiful!

I have never had a problem with the homeless, so it's not a negative for me, but for many it can be. It's a pretty park with a great slide. Bring wax paper to make the slide an adventure. There is a "pond" that is fun to walk around, but I wouldn't put a foot in it.

This is a very nice downtown green space that the city has done a lot to help improve, but they cannot get rid of the homeless and the panhandlers that basically "live" there. Only time I would venture there is in broad daylight, in sub-zero temperatures, because when it is ultra cold outside, the homeless camp out in the Omaha... More

We were looking for something fun to do in Omaha with our little one. This park was a quaint stroll with the highlight being the massive slides that were a huge hit for even mom and dad. They were a bit much for our 8 year old who has a queasy stomach but she still managed to do it 3... More

This is a pleasant park for a stroll, right in the center of town. I was surprised that even after dark it was safe with other people walking around and even kids playing at the playground.

What can I say. High tech? Nope. Long lines? Nope. Expensive? Nope. Fancy?Nope. Free, simple, fun. Took the grand kids down the slides the other day. Beautiful day. Simple fun. And glad the littlest ones didn't want to slide alone so I got plenty of free trips. If you have the speedster in your clan make sure and take your... More
