We needed to kill a little time waiting for our restaurant to open. This was the perfect solution!! Loved the huge stepping stones sidewalk that took us across the water. We saw a small bat clinging to the stone just above the water-too cool. The...More

I love taking my dogs for a walk here. It's an easy stroll around the tiny river, and offers a lot of eccentric art pieces along the way. The giant slide is fun for kids (and adults), and you get a fun look at Omaha.

We went on a Sunday evening and there were several families enjoying this park. My kids had a great time on the big slides, there was some litter on the ground but it is cardboard and wax paper others leave behind for use on the...More

The Gene Leahy Mall is a beautiful spot within Omaha (even for people who live here). During the day, it is a great walking spot. At night, I would avoid walking about alone. There is an exception. During the holiday season, the lights that go...More

Whenever we visit downtown Omaha, ALL of my kids ( 5 9 12 17 21 24) want to stop here. I've been bringing my kids here since my oldest was 3. They all love coming here. Bring a plastic bag or a scrap of cardboard...More

We walked through and unfortunately found it a favorite place for homeless people to sleep. A few looked dangerous. The maintenance on the landscaping and trash pick up is poor as well. It's too bad, as the fountains are cool and this would be a...More

If your family is coming to Omaha, stop by this 'great fun experience' for the whole family. Just stop and get some wax paper; place it under you, and watch yourself 'fly' down the slide! FUN FOR ALL!!

This is a good place to hang out with friends on the steps nearby the slides. It is a bit dirty with some litter, but the paper bags and cardboard box scraps are there to make it easier and faster to go down the slides....More

The best time to explore the mall is during the Christmas season, when the lights are lit. But it is a good place for a relaxing stroll year round.

Not as large as Heartland of America Park, Gene Leahy Mall is worth a peek, too. It's only a few blocks long, but the water, slides, and water fowl are worth a quick stroll. It's right next to the Visitor's Center and only a few...More

I believe that the deepest point is 12 feet, but the river walk itself is much shallower than that. The current is basically nonexistent and I have never heard of any problems or accidents in all of the years that it has... More
