This museum isn’t very big, although it does only cost $5 for admission. It focuses on natural history and the history of Illinois. Unfortunately I’ve recently been to a lot of natural history museums and once you’ve been to one you’ve pretty much been to...More

This place is underrated for a local museum. I wouldn’t travel 3 hours for it, but it’s pretty cool. It has a nice play area for kids downstairs. They’ll love it. There are some other cool things in their “Changes” exhibit if you’re into the...More

Not a lot to say, feels like a small town museum without much funding. $5 entry fee is about right for a small museum without a lot of exhibits.

There is an entrance fee for people ( like $5), but children were free and over 65 are free. It is great for kids. Get a free parking pass from the Springfield Visitors Center so you won't need to pay around the museum.
