Expect a lovely landscape and authentic Italian atmosphere..but avoid going there by train from Rome..I was looking for a relaxing place surrounded by nature and I was very happy to find this lake, but the bus from the train station "ANGUILARA" to the lake and back is terrible. After waiting for 40 minutes, a small bus came but it didn't... More

This vast lake is about one hour from Rome. Very clean for swimming with no motor boats allowed. The beaches are black volcanic sand. Lots of places to eat

Visited lake Bracciano with my husband and 7 month old son, we rented a place in Anguillara for 2 weeks and got the pleasure of spending time in all the three cities surrounding Lake Bracciano, recommend a stop in each. Have a walk in the old city in Anguillara, eat a lunch at one of the many restaurants by the... More

This lake is magic , beautiful and delightful. If you go , just be in the Trevignano side or Aguillara side ... Bracciano is not the best city to be on the lake .

Our trip to Lake Bracciano was part of our visit to the Rome Countryside. We secured a Private Driver (Italy Limousine) who was very familiar with the area and who took us to a local breakfast spot. Local pastries + cappuccino + quaint, sidewalk café = great start to the day! After breakfast we took a long walk around the... More

Good choice to visit there on a day trip from Rome as a break from crowded city. Don't forget to explore narrow streets of Bracciano.

Decided to rent a car and take a small trip outside of Rome. We rented a 1 bedroom home for a few days, overlooking the lake. Beautiful relaxing at this time of year. A good quiet getaway from the city. Plenty of restaurants, stores and boardwalk on the lake. There are 3 little towns around the lake and also visited... More

I was expecting this lake to be a day out of the sun but in fact it was like going to a beach. It was great. Water in the lake is very clear and excellent for swimming. Beach round the lake has a number of sunbed options to pay for or you can just pitch up with a towel. All... More
