Welcome to Harvard Square

Each year, over 8 million men, women and children visit Harvard Square. Visitors come for a variety of reasons; this is a place of history, of books, of ideas, and of learning. It is a place of bookstores and coffee houses, of fine dining and eclectic shopping. It is a place of folk music and old theaters, of Cuban ballet and world-class music, of street-performers and award-winning pizza, of public discourse, and public art. Whatever brings you here, we welcome you and hope you enjoy your stay.

Well, you must visit Harvard Square. The area is full with stores, right next to the Harvard Yard. Do it by foot to appreciate the life of the city. You can get there with the T, Red line, Harvard Square stop.

A nice break from downtown and easy access on the T. It was as expected but It wasn't that crowded on a Saturday which was nice.

Great restaurants, coffee shops and stores. Very congested and parking can be a challenge. Very busy on the weekends. However, it is a fun place to hangout.

Nothing spectacular or "must see" here. Lots of foot traffic and stores. Other than saying you were there, not much to write about here.

It is fun to walk around Harvard Square, check out the university and browse in the bookstores. And there are many options for coffee, lunch, dinner, browsing.

It is a busy square, but the small town flavor makes it a walk around the square that you can savor. Seriously, so many little nooks with pubs and restaurants and rich with tradition. You've got to take your time and mingle, mosey and enJoY!

Well, the name speaks for itself.... It should be in your list of places to go when in Boston. Take the red line instead of driving. Parking is close to impossible. If you have to park, try parking meters on Mass. Ave and walk 5 min from there to the Square.

This is the center of everything in the Harvard area. So many shops, cafes, restaurants, sights to see. Make sure to take your time and wander around, listen to a street musician, visit the out of town newspaper stand, grab a cup of coffee and people watch. So much fun.
