This is a beautiful space. The architectural details are inspiring, as intended. The building memorializes those from the Harvard community lost in the Civil War. Walls bear stone tablets inscribed with class years, graduates' names and the battles where they fell. Combined with the richly carved wood and handsome stained glass there is the feel of a well executed church... More

The Sanders theater is so amazingly beautiful! It has an enormous amount of priceless stain glass windows. I used to walk by this everyday for many years - this building makes me want to be a better person!

You can see this theater during a campus visit (registration encouraged but not required), so even if you don't intend to apply, this is a great way to get insights into the school and visit the theater.

I recently attended a concert with my brother and daughter. For lack of a more accurate category, it was folk music and was even better than I expected. Not to take anything away from the performers, who played their hearts out, part of the experience was the venue. I have also heard classical music and rock music played here and... More

This is our favorite venue for concerts - most seats are great, though not the most comfortable - what do you want for such a pretty, historically wonderful building at Harvard University?! This is about the experience of the ARCHITECTURE & reading about the stained glass windows, etc., as it is the music. The acoustics are great. It's easily accessible... More

What a magnificent edifice! Heard the Boston Philharmonic program, acoustics fantastic. The stained glass windows are beautiful. No elevator to upper seats.

Saw the Harlem Gospel Choir during MLK weekend and they rocked the house. There is not a bad seat in this venue and the acoustics are amazing.

Went to see Christmas Revels for the first time and enjoyed the show. Need to go with an open mind and a Christmas spirit and it's quite fun. The singers were excellent and the acting is a bit strained but it's local theater not Broadway and the negative reviews appear unjustified and a bit harsh for me. The theater is... More

We passed beside the Memorial Hall, which appears to be also the Sanders Theatre, and we were totally stunned by the greatness of the architecture. After further research of the building, I ended up discovering that is it the legendary study hall that we have seen in so many movies and pictures. Before learning all this, the building itself still... More
